Moonlight Arabians specialises in breeding Crabbet horses for beauty and performance and is based at Woodlay Farm in Cornwall, just 30 minutes from Plymouth. Here we are fortunate to have 38 acres of fabulous grazing in open countryside and will be developing new facilities for schooling and showing off these beautiful horses. It is run by Natalie Tindall who bred her first Crabbet mare, the lovely Zara, 24 years ago who remains a treasured founder member of the stud today. Natalie is passionate about the Crabbet Arabian.
At Moonlight Arabians our ethos is very simple. We aim to preserve the Crabbet heritage by developing a breeding programme based on the best foundation stock we can find, with diverse and rare bloodlines that nick well and have all the qualities of the traditional Crabbet Arabian - soundness, beauty, superb temperament, exceptional movement and the ability to compete in any discipline. Oh and to be your best friend!
We have been extremely fortunate in having many well established breeders support us by allowing us to acquire high quality stock from both English and Australian gene pools. These horses are the foundation of our breeding programme where we will make Crabbet horses available to a broader audience. We also aim to take as many of our horses out competing in a variety of disciplines and so far we have winners in dressage, showing and jumping at the national AHS Show as well as being regular competitors in EGB rides. We also hold annual Open Days but we welcome vistors by appointment at any time of the year. We are easily accessible, just 10 minutes from the A38 near Liskeard.
