Zara is the raison d’etre of Moonlight Arabians. She was Natalie’s first foal from her very first horse and her sire was a grandson of Hanif standing at the famous Imperial Arabian Stud. Her Arabic name was chosen to reflect the moonlight in which she was born and that is how Moonlight Arabians came to be so named.
Zara has been Natalie’s horse of a lifetime, hacking innumerable miles together as well as competing in a range of disciplines. She won the Sylvia Loch Classical Training Test at the National AHS Show as a 5 year old then went on to win dressage classes there three years in succession, culminating in winning the Novice and Elementary Freestyle to Music tests. She also won the Novice Jumping at the same show, enabling the North Staffs and Derbyshire team to victory that day. Zara also hunted on the North Yorkshire Moors and became a stand-in Riding for the Disabled horse on several occasions.
Now retired from ridden work Zara continues in her role as queen of the stud, babysitting the youngsters and showing every visitor to the stud exactly why choosing a Crabbet Arabian to share your life is a fantastic thing to do. She has an amazing temperament and is loved by all.
